THE BENEFITS OF GUINEA PEPPER 🍃🌱
Guinea pepper, scientifically known as xylopia aethiopica, is called in various ways depending on the ethnic groups on the African continent: Kpédjélékoun in Fon, aarun in Yoruba or Nago, long long pepper in Ivory Coast, African pepper in English, or also called pepper from Ethiopia. Xylopia aethiopica of the Annonaceae family is a plant that is particularly prevalent throughout West Africa with both nutritional and human health uses. It is therefore a virtuous plant (Xiaojian Yin et al., 2019) whose benefits are often cited but here are 12 powerful uses based on guinea pepper that can be applied to help reduce some ailments.
1. Female health: natural contraception – uterine and vaginal balance 🌱
2. Postpartum treatment
After giving birth, the woman can boil the pods (about 100g) in a liter of water and purge yourself with this slightly warm decoction every morning for a week. This allows the uterus to be completely cleaned of bad blood after childbirth, to quickly restore the uterine flora, to promote the tightening of the uterus and at the same time of the vagina and finally to relax the muscles of the mother’s pelvis. Thus the woman very quickly regains her pre-pregnancy shape.
3. Spiritual treatments
The seed of the Guinea pepper naturally has a spiritual power of protection against mystical attacks with return to the sender whatever the form in which you use it. Traditional therapy experts recommend occasional baths with an infusion or decoction of guinea pepper seeds or in the form of incense once or twice a week to boost one’s spiritual aura. The same result of protection with return to sender is obtained if you place a decoction or infusion of these seeds in a container in a room. Repeat the decoction or infusion twice a month at least.
Several other recipes are recommended, such as macerating the seeds in alcohol for a week. It will then suffice to take half a glass to activate spiritual protection while benefiting from its other cleansing benefits. Some other ground preparations are made with a mixture of sugar (ie 7 seeds and 7 lumps of sugar for a woman or, 9 seeds and 7 lumps of sugar for a man). The resulting mixture is combined with a white soap and then used before your home.
4. Treatment of respiratory diseases: asthma, colds, flu, cough
